As a juvenile criminal defense litigator, Abigail has served as lead counsel in misdemeanor and felony trials. In addition to her trial success, Abigail has garnered positive results on behalf of her clients in detention hearings, probable cause hearings, suppression hearings, contempt hearings, and competency hearings. Her most significant successes have come in shielding her clients from prosecution in the adult system through her victories in waiver hearings. Additionally, Abigail has had great success keeping automatic transfer cases in juvenile court.

Courtney brings years of experience to the practice of juvenile law. During her time in the juvenile division at the Louisville Metro Public Defender, she represented clients who were charged with everything from murder to disorderly conduct. Courtney has broad experience, having advocated in detention hearings, probable cause hearings, suppression hearings, contempt hearings, and competency hearings with much success. Courtney considers her greatest professional achievements as those cases where she has protected her clients from being tried as adults. She has successfully kept murder charges in juvenile court as well as several automatic transfer cases.
